Scope and service operator

This policy applies to the SignalCheck website, scam-checking features, paid plans, and related support. SignalCheck is the service name used by the operator identified in the Site's account and payment records.

A dedicated privacy contact and legal-operator address will be published here before the Site is made publicly available or paid plans are sold.

Information we process

• Check content: links, messages, emails, and screenshots you choose to submit.
• Technical data: request time, browser type, IP-derived security information, and operational logs.
• Usage limits: a one-way daily visitor hash, date, and number of checks used.
• Account and billing data: email, plan, subscription status, and PayPal payment-provider references when paid plans are enabled.

SignalCheck does not ask for passwords, verification codes, full card numbers, or government identifiers. Remove unnecessary personal data before submitting content.

How information is used

• Provide the requested risk analysis and supporting evidence.
• Enforce daily limits and confirm paid-plan access.
• Prevent abuse, investigate failures, and protect the service.
• Process subscriptions, receipts, cancellations, and support requests through PayPal.
• Meet legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations.

Service providers and disclosures

Only the providers needed for a requested feature receive relevant data:

• Hosting and security: OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare process network and operational data.
• URL threat checks: Google Web Risk receives the URL when that provider is configured.
• Screenshot analysis: Google Vertex AI receives the submitted image and analysis instructions when screenshot AI is configured.
• Payments: the configured payment processor handles card and billing details; SignalCheck does not receive full card numbers.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate notice. SignalCheck does not sell submitted check content.

Storage and retention

Raw links, pasted messages, and screenshots are processed for the requested check and are not intentionally stored in SignalCheck's application database. Service providers may temporarily process or retain data under their own service terms and security policies.

Daily usage hashes are automatically removed after approximately 35 days. Security logs are retained according to the hosting provider's operational settings. Billing and transaction records may be kept as required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and dispute handling.

Your choices and rights

You can avoid submitting a screenshot, remove personal information before a check, cancel a subscription through the payment portal, and request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.

Privacy requests will be accepted through the dedicated contact published on this page before public launch. Identity verification may be required before account or billing data is disclosed or deleted.

Security, transfers, and children

SignalCheck uses access controls, encrypted transport, secret storage, and data minimization. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process data in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.

The service is not directed to children under 13, and paid plans are not intended for anyone unable to enter a binding contract in their location.

Policy changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies to future use.
